Lisa S. Cameron

Lisa acquired extensive negotiation and dispute resolution experience, first as a "union liaison" for a multi-state highway contractor, where she assisted in the grievance & arbitration processes, in addition to negotiating collective bargaining agreements with the United Steel Workers & Operating Engineers unions.

 

During the years she served as an in-house negotiator to the unions, Cameron gained her practical training through programs offered by the NLRB, Delaware & Maryland Departments of Labor and tri-state EEOC agencies. Born and raised in Newark, Delaware, Cameron went onto college to earn degrees in Criminal Justice/Police Science & Para-Legal Studies. Mrs. Cameron's advanced training in Mediation and ADR Principles is from Pepperdine University School of Law - Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution in Malibu, California.

Experience

With over 35 years experience in labor relations, she is founder of OM Services' Employment Practice Group which concentrates on consensual dispute resolution (Mediation) for workplace related claims such as sexual harassment, ADA compliance and collective bargaining conflicts.

Community

An active community leader, Mrs. Cameron has volunteered with many community organizations, most notably, the Cecil County Economic Development Commission from 1990 - 2004.  Since 1989 she has been a devoted member of the Wilmington-West, Delaware Rotary Club in Wilmington, Delaware where she was inducted as the first woman member and Club President.

Organizational Membership

Mrs. Cameron holds current memberships with the American Bar Association-Dispute Resolution Section (ABA-DRS), the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR) and The Ombudsman Association (TOA). Locally, she is a member of  CMUS (Community Mediation Upper Shore) which serves the 3 upper counties of Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
